P1 started work today on their new National Literacy Project. Today we met with 4 other schools around Scotland through GLOW meet (video conferencing). All the schools are from 3 different authorities (Renfrewshire, East Lothian & East Dunbartonshire) and starting next week, we will be looking at books by Julia Donaldson. We chatted about our school and the type of area our school was in. We learned that one of the boys from a school in the countryside kept chickens and ate their eggs for breakfast. He liked them boiled! Afterwards we read "The Smartest Giant" by Julia.
